Making clients depends a lot on how your build a relationship with the client. Here are some of the things you can do to build a great relationship between you and your client
- Great conversation
- Ask questions about the clients life
- Have knowledge of many topics to show diversity
- Show your client your very clean at all times
- Be a good listener
- Take control of the haircut
- Be very clear in anything that you discuss with the client
- Make the client laugh
- Offer your client a discount if he refers other clients
- Always be honest especially with the prices
- Try not to argue with clients or co workers
Clients are very different in so many ways, they are angry, happy, drug dealers, homosexual, crazy, depressed, never satisfied etc
There are endless personalities day after day and as a barber you have to be able to adapt right then and there. It will have a huge effect on the client coming back to see you on a regular basis. Try to always remain confident and never show signs of weakness because a client can feel if your nervous or unsure.
