Ask Malik

Hi my name is Malik Morris and i was born and raised in Queens, New York. I grew up in a neighborhood full of drugs and crimes. Many of the people involved were teen-agers and young adults. The majority of these idividuals were brought up in broken homes, mostly under the care of the mother. Kids and young adults turned to selling drugs without any kind of education in their lives. The ending for them consisted of 3 scenario’s. Death, jail or simply a wasted life.

Most young people in the world sometimes need a push on doing something positive and long lasting that will keep them out of trouble. Thats how i came up with the concept of Barbershop101. I want to teach young individuals that you can make alot of money being a barber and you can do it anywhere in the world.

Whatever i wanted to accomplish, i used the barbershop as a platform from where i wanted to start. When you talk about accomplishments as a barber, the number is great. I’ve promoted clubs for profit, obtained great communication skills and i’ve received knowledge in so many areas of life. Law, sports,
modeling, acting etc. Inside of a barbershop you meet all kinds of people in the world every single day.

Working 20 years in the industry, i have grown so much. I have listened and joined in multiple topics regarding life, history, women, kids and just about anything you can imagine. I want to give back this positive knowledge that i have to others that may not know things that can affect their life in a good
way.
